The Quincy Family YMCA is excited to offer Y PreSchool for 3-5 year olds in the Quincy area!
One of the most important stages of a child’s life is that of preschool age. During this stage of development, children learn and process information rapidly, discovering new interest everyday. This is the prime time to introduce new and exciting concepts, ideas, environments and skills. The Quincy Family YMCA offers a safe and educational environment for children ages 3 to 5 with their Preschool Education program. All of our 3 to 5 year old classes provide children with the time to explore as they learn. Children will be engaging in activities that support their development through a hands-on learning approach. The character values of: Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility will be stressed.
The YMCA Preschool Education curriculum includes, but is not limited to: Arts-n-Crafts, Literary Skills, Physical Activity (including swim lessons), Science/Health, Sensory Play, Writing and Writing Readiness, Story Time, Music, Manners/Personal Care, Dramatic Play, Socialization, and Fine/Gross Motor Skill Development.
Preschool follows the same schedule as the Quincy School district, but does not start until after Labor Day.
