YOUTH FITNESS
REGISTRATION PERIODS
Fit For The Future- Fit For The Future is a 12-week fitness program specifically designed for kids ages 7-13. All youth participating must be 7 years-old and and be a YMCA member. They must have a doctor's recommendation that they be involved in a fitness program due to fact their BMI is too high. Participants will meet with a Fitness Coach twice a week for 45 minutes, working on strength, endurance, and flexibility exercises. For more information, contact our Wellness Director.
This is a 12-week class that meets twice a week for 45 minutes. Fee: Free, Y members only.

Fit Zone- What could be more fun than playing video games after school and getting a great cardiovascular workout at the same time? Fit Zone is a new program that allows kids ages 9-14 a chance to experience "Exergaming", a technology-based approach to involving youth in in fitness by combining their interest in computers with a healthy workout. Participants in this program will spend an hour twice a week involved in Wii Fit tournaments, Dance Dance Revolution, and other exciting fitness activities.
This is an eight-week class held on Monday and Wednesday 3:30-4:30 p.m. Fee: $45 for program participants, $15 for Y members.

Youth Weight Training - (Specialty Class) Youth ages 11-14 may take youth weight training class. The class focuses on building a basic workout in the Wellness Center the first two weeks by using Cybex weight machines. After successful completion, youth then move on to the free weights.
This is an eight-week class held on Tuesday and Thursday 3:30-4:30 p.m. Fee: $65 for program participants, $50 for Y members.
