YOUTH SPORTS

YMCA Sports Pledge
Win or lose, I pledge to do the best I can,
to be a team player, and to respect my teammates, my opponents and
officials and to improve myself in spirit, mind and body.

Youth sports are a very important part of the YMCA experience. Our youth are encouraged to participate in those programs in which they learn sportsmanship, no only on the court or field, but also for a lifetime.

YMCA programs and services are available to the entire community, and no child is turned away due to inability to pay. Scholarships are available through our financial assistance program.

The Quincy Family YMCA offers participation in three sports: Basketball, Football (both Flag & Tackle), and Baseball (including T-Ball).

Volunteer Needs

All YMCA sports teams are coached by volunteers, and we are always looking for people dedicated to helping the youth of the community. If you are interested in volunteering some of your time to our future leaders, please contact the Welcome Desk at 217-222-9622.

Cancellation Phone # 217-257-8260

During all sports seasons, there is a phone # that players, coaches, and families may call to check the cancellations of games. This number is updated by 3:30 pm on the weekdays, and by 7:00 am on weekends (10:00 am during Tackle Football).

This number is only updated in the instance of a cancellation. If you reach the number, and an old cancellation message is what you hear, then assume the scheduled games are being played as planned.
